Inspirational videos on Māori Futuremakers’ website

March 25, 2013

There are some wonderful new videos available on the Māori Futuremakers website.

People talk about what has inspired them:

“If Mum could do it – I could do it as well” – Ani Kainamu (Marine Scientist).

and where they came from:

“I went to Burnside High School in Christchurch from 1991 to 1997 where I studied basketball, touch rugby, girls, Māori and music – and in that order” – Tearepa Kahi (Filmmaker).

and the obstacles they’ve overcome:

“I grew up in the country – I’d never been to the city … but if I can – you can too!” Mania Campbell-Seymour (Student Doctor).

There’s also information on how to upskill, including how to use your work experience to help you get a qualification.
